Education, Certifications, Professional Associations and Memberships (a selected list) Ann Hoeffel is Director of The Sun Center, a Wholistic Health Practitioner, Teacher and Artist. She has been studying wholistic healing systems for over 30 years and is committed to lifelong learning. She opened her private practice in 1984. Her certifications include: Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, Nationally Board Certified as a Continuing Education Instructor, Registered Advanced Instructor and Advanced Practitioner of Ortho-Bionomy®, Certified in Sound, Color and Vibration by the Esoteric Philosophy Center, Certified Instructor of LAMAS Qi Gong, Certified in Hypnotherapy by the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association, a Licensed Massage Therapist and long-standing member of the American Massage Therapy Asssociation. Ann studied Metaphysics, Yoga and the intuitive arts for years prior to her training in the healing arts. Ann earned a BS in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Ann has continued to deepen and expand her skills and knowledge through continuing wholistic education which comprises over 3800 hours of training. She explores new techniques that resonate with her, for both personal and professional development. Ann's teaching schedule includes travel (see Schedule / Calendar). Before immersing herself in the healing arts, Ann worked as an artist in fiber and ceramics (specializing in Raku) and taught both adults and children. At that time, she also taught Art, French, Movement and Yoga, with a special joy for teaching (and learning) with children. Recently she realized a long-felt heart's desire to photograph and paint nature. Ann lives, works and plays, mostly in Chicago.
