Education, Certifications, Professional Associations and Memberships (a selected list) Ann Hoeffel is Director/Owner of The Sun Center, established in 1985. A Wholistic Health Practitioner, Teacher and Artist, Ann has been studying wholistic healing systems for over 30 years, has over 4000 hours of training, and is committed to lifelong learning. Ann continues to deepen and expand her skills and knowledge through continuing wholistic education. She explores new techniques that resonate with her, for both personal and professional development. Her extensive training has prepared her to faciliate whole self-healing on physical, emotional, mental and spirital levels, wherever it is most needed. As an Instructor of practitioners and for Continuing Education, Ann's teaching schedule currently includes travel (see Schedule / Calendar). Ann has been in private practice since 1984. Her certifications include: Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, Nationally Board Certified as a Continuing Education Instructor, Registered Advanced Instructor and Advanced Practitioner of Ortho-Bionomy®, Certified in Sound, Color and Vibration by the Esoteric Philosophy Center, Certified Instructor of LAMAS Qi Gong, Certified in Hypnotherapy by the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association, a Licensed Massage Therapist and long-standing member of the American Massage Therapy Asssociation. She is also a qualified CranioSacral Therapist and VortexHealing Practitioner. Ann studied Metaphysics, Yoga, the intuitive arts, visual arts and language arts for years prior to her training in the healing arts. She speaks fluent French and spent a year living in Paris. Ann earned a BS in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Before immersing herself in the healing arts, Ann worked as an artist in fiber and ceramics (specializing in Raku and ceramic sculpture) and taught both adults and children. At that time, she also taught Art, French, Movement and Yoga, with a special joy for teaching (and learning from) children. Recently she realized a long-felt heart's desire to photograph and paint nature. Ann lives, works and plays, mostly in Chicago.
